What Is The Best Forex Strategy Available?
At the beginning of nearly any trader's journey, at some point the question that will come up is am i using the best forex strategy that is available?
This question usually comes up after a strategy suffers a loss or outrights fails. Even if the failure was because of circumstances that our out of our control, as opposed to a mistake by the trader, the question will still be raised.
Trial and error is ultimately the method that will determine which forex strategy is best.
Nearly any proven forex strategy will have profit potential. Some have a greater profit potential than others, but you must remember that usually those with a greater profit potential come with extra risks, which increases the potential for failure as well. On the other hand, those will less profit potential will have less risks attached to them.
Which strategy is better is generally a matter of personal preference.
Similarly, just about every forex strategy can be lumped into one of two categories: long term or short term. Those categories should be self-explanatory and honestly it is possible to find a strategy that utilizes both long term and short term strategies.
Short term forex strategies can certainly provide substantial and quick profits. However, they also have a high risk if the market does not fluctuate the way you thought it would. Short term strategies also require vigilance as you need to keep a constant eye on the market waiting for those buy and sell opportunities.
On the other side, long term strategies will generally be more stable. You will probably be holding onto the currency for a longer period of time so you can ride out the market's small fluctuations as you wait for the opportune moment to sell. Long term strategies are a little more laid back and do not require you to keep a constant eye on the market.
It is simply a matter of personal preference.
Truthfully, the best advice is to simply experiment with as many strategies as you can. However, it is obviously also advised to try new strategies with paper trading rather than putting your own money at risk on a strategy you are not familiar with.
You will then either find that the strategy works a number of times and you like it or you will find that it does not work but you have not lost any money.
Insofar as the 'best forex strategy' available is concerned, don't fall for any of the so-called advice or 'secrets' that claim to have a surefire, no-fail, 100% guaranteed strategy. In the forex market, nothing is guaranteed.
If you get into the routine of trail and error with any forex strategies, you will be gaining valuable experience as you find the one that suits you the best.
