As we all know, this valuable yellow metal has constantly been increasing in price throughout the decades and this is exactly why it may be thought of as an international market. Because it is so easy to find, many investors around the world have chosen this particular form of investment as a safe heaven for economical crisis, buying gold bullion or gold bars in order to keep their investment secure. Golds increasing value is not just a myth, it is actually a certainty.

This precious metal has not lost its value as a store of wealth throughout the decades. This is worth mentioning because, when it comes to capital, gold is always looked at as a safe haven in comparison to the U.S. dollar, for instance. As many of us might have noticed, during the last two decades, the value of the U.S. dollar has decreased considerably, in opposition to gold, which was quite prospering, constantly and steadily increasing. We can think of the investment in gold as being a safe investment precisely due to its stability in the rise of its price.

In the 1970s, economists have wrongly predicted the fact that gold will drop considerably in value. Their statements were based on the fact that gold was seen as a commodity but the situation radically changed when the dollar was actually the one which suffered after falling in an inflationary crisis, this way diminishing its value while the power of gold remained quite stable on the market.

When examining gold against fiat currencies around the globe, we can easily observe the fact that the situation doesnt look too bright for the fiat paper money. On the other hand, gold has done nothing less than to increase in its value as years go by. This is why we can consider gold to be an inflation hedge and also due to the fact that the market has priced it like other currencies on the international money markets.

In the long run, gold is surely an excellent inflation hedge and it cannot be seen as a commodity. Investing in it will keep your money safe and also bring you a lot of profit.
